Le Chuchotement des Mains

Art Paris

Grand Palais, Paris, France

April 3rd–6th, 2025

For the past 10 years, the Camille Fournet House of fine leather goods has been developing an original patronage of artistic creation by inviting contemporary artists twice a year, as part of its rencontres équinoxes, to immerse themselves in the privileged relationship that the leather goods maker maintains with the material.

The exhibition Le Chuchotement des mains, presented at Art Paris and staged by artist Lucien Murat, evokes this hybrid space where contemporary creation meets craftsmanship of excellence, and bears witness to these encounters between artist and craftsman through a selection of some ten works.

Recycle Group presents ‘Phaéton’ at ‘Le Chuchotement des Mains’ exploring the intersection of contemporary art and digital identity. The work reflects on the fragile balance between the physical and virtual worlds, where absence from the web can erase one’s digital self. Inspired by the Greek myth of Phaeton, who lost control and fell from the sky, the piece questions what happens when one is exiled from the online realm.
