Recycle Group, formed by Andrey Blokhin (b. 1987) and Georgy Kuznetsov (b. 1985) in 2008, explores the fragile space between humans, systems and belief.

Their practice examines how contemporary systems, technological, social and symbolic, begin to take on functions once associated with belief, ritual and collective meaning. Rather than representing these structures directly, the artists focus on moments where they lose coherence, where perception, action and form no longer fully align.

Working primarily with industrial materials such as plastic mesh, Recycle Group creates large-scale installations, sculptures and reliefs that draw on classical iconography, archaeology and contemporary visual languages. Their works often appear as fragments or remains of evolving systems, suspended between material presence and immaterial logic, between structure and its breakdown.

Living and working in Paris, the duo has exhibited internationally since 2010, with projects presented in galleries, museums and public spaces across France, Italy, the UK, the USA and Belgium. They participated in the programs of the Venice Biennale in 2011, 2013, 2015 and 2017.

Their large-scale installations have been presented on the facades of the Grand Palais in Paris and at the London School of Economics, among other major sites.

Recycle Group’s works are included in public and private collections such as the LVMH Collection, the Albright-Knox Art Gallery (Buffalo, USA), the National Museum of Scotland, and others.
