La Résistance des AI

La Résistance des AI’ explores the growing tension between human identity and the rise of artificial intelligence. The installation presents a group of figures trapped within barricades—symbols of the boundaries between people and machines. At its core are two central figures who resist: they struggle to preserve their individuality and freedom in a world increasingly shaped by automation. Around them, others stand passively, their eyes obscured by VR headsets, embodying submission and technological dependence. Through this work, Recycle Group invites you to consider not only the future of labor, but also the human will to fight or surrender in the face of digital control.

For their new work La Résistance des AI,’ created especially for Nuit Blanche 2025, Recycle Group sculpts human figures from thermoformed mesh using 3D scans of ballet stars Olga Smirnova and Jacopo Tissi. Their bodies give form to the sculptural ensemble ‘Liberté on the Barricades,’ a central reference that anchors the conceptual framework of the piece. Smirnova and Tissi, Principal Dancers with the Dutch National Opera & Ballet, embody strength through movement—bringing both artistic and symbolic power to the installation.
