A stream of energy and information flows through us each time we use any device. Originally created to expand our horizons, technology has drawn us into its own reality, blurring the line between us and the screens we look through.
The Glasstress project, first presented by the Recycle Group in 2015 as part of the Venice Biennale’s parallel program, invited artists to explore the fusion of contemporary materials with glass. This unique exhibition combined historic Gothic glass pieces from the Hermitage collection with works by international artists, each utilizing traditional Venetian glassmaking techniques.
